This list is by no means exhaustive and generally speaking, any device that has a plug can be PAT tested. Pluggable, portable devices are generally split up into two categories for testing; namely Class 1 appliances and Class 2 appliances. Depending on the manufacturing and electrical composition, a Class 1 or a Class 2 category is then assigned and the PAT testing machine is configured for the correct options before testing commences.
